Account & Data Deletion Policy

As part of our commitment to your privacy and in compliance with global data protection regulations (including Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies), Grozho provides clear and accessible mechanisms for users to request the permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal data.

This policy applies to all users of the Grozho platform, including the Grozho Customer App, the Grozho Delivery App, and the Grozho Shop Owner Dashboard.

The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the Grozho mobile applications. We have built a secure, OTP-based deletion flow to ensure your account cannot be deleted maliciously.

Steps to delete your account:

1. Open the Grozho App and log in to your account.
2. Navigate to the Profile or Settings screen.
3. Scroll down and tap on Delete Account.
4. Read the consent warning and check the box confirming you understand that this action is irreversible.
5. Tap Send OTP. We will send a 6-digit verification code to your registered email address.
6. Enter the 6-digit code to permanently delete your account.

If you no longer have the app installed, you can securely delete your account right here. For your security, you must first authenticate with your Email and Password, and then verify the deletion with an OTP sent to your registered email.

When your account is deleted, the following information is permanently erased from our active databases:

• Personal Identification: Your name, phone number, email address, and profile picture.
• Saved Addresses: All delivery addresses you have saved in the app.
• Order History: Detailed line-items of your past orders tying directly to your identity.
• Device Data: Push notification tokens and active sessions linked to your devices.

While we delete your personal account data, certain information may be anonymized and retained for legal, security, and accounting purposes:

• Financial Records: Transaction records and invoices (without your personal identification) are retained as required by tax laws and accounting standards in India.
• Shop Owner Analytics: Aggregated, fully anonymized sales data remains available to shop owners to maintain the integrity of their accounting.
• Security Logs: Server logs and audit trails may retain anonymized identifiers for up to 90 days to prevent fraud and maintain platform security.
